Not everyone wants to drive the moment they step off the ferry. Maybe it's been a long crossing, maybe you don't fancy figuring out Moroccan roundabouts on day one, or maybe you'd just rather sit back and let someone who knows the roads handle it. That's what our rental with driver is for.

How Booking Works

You tell us where you're headed — Tangier, Chefchaouen, down to Rabat, wherever — and we pair you with a driver who already knows that route, not someone reading directions off a phone. Same as our regular rentals, everything gets set up over Email/WhatsApp before you even board your ferry, so there's no scrambling around at Tanger Med Port trying to find anyone or sort out paperwork on the spot. Your driver is there waiting when you land.

More Than a Taxi

A lot of people ask us whether this is basically a taxi. It isn't, and the difference matters. A taxi takes you from A to B and that's it. A driver booked through us stays with you for the length of your trip — a day, a few days, however long you need — and adjusts to your pace. Want to stop at a random viewpoint you weren't planning on? Fine. Running two hours behind schedule because lunch turned into three hours in a café in Chefchaouen? Also fine. That flexibility is really the whole point.

Who This Option Is Actually For

It's also worth being upfront about who this is genuinely useful for, because it's not for everyone. If you love driving and want the freedom of doing it yourself, our regular self-drive rental will suit you better and cost less. But if you're traveling with older parents, small kids, a group where nobody wants to be the designated driver, or you just landed off an overnight ferry and you're running on no sleep — this is the better call. We also see a fair number of business travelers use this option, since it lets you work in the back seat instead of watching the road.

Language Support

Language is rarely an issue. Our drivers work comfortably in French, English, and Arabic, so you're not stuck trying to mime directions or fumble through a translation app every time you want to make a stop. And because the same person who arranges your booking over WhatsApp is often the one coordinating your driver, you're not explaining your trip from scratch to three different people before you even get in the car.

Is It Worth the Cost?

One thing we'd rather be honest about than oversell: this isn't the cheapest way to see Morocco. You're paying for a person's time and local knowledge, not just a car. If budget is tight and you're comfortable behind the wheel, self-drive will save you money. If your priority is comfort, safety, or simply not thinking about logistics for a few days, the driver option earns its price fairly quickly.

Cancellations and Ferry Delays

Cancellations follow the same policy as our regular rentals — free up to 48 hours before your pickup time, no upfront payment required to reserve. If your ferry runs late, message us and we'll adjust; we're used to that happening and it's not a problem on our end.
