Why One-Way Makes Sense

Round trips make sense for some routes and are a genuine pain for others. If you're landing at Tanger Med Port and your plan is to head south — say, ending up in Marrakech a week later to fly home — driving all the way back up to return the car is just wasted time and diesel. That's exactly the situation our one-way rental is built for.

How It Works

The setup is simple. You pick up your car at Tanger Med Port, drive wherever your trip actually takes you, and drop it off at your endpoint instead of backtracking. Right now that means Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, or Marrakech — four real endpoints, not a single hub you're forced back to. We picked these four because they're where most people's Morocco trips naturally end up, whether that's a flight home, a train connection, or just the next stage of the trip.

Does One-Way Cost Extra?

A fair question we get a lot: does one-way cost extra? For these four cities, no — it's built into the rental, not tacked on as a surprise fee at drop-off. We think charging extra for something that's core to how people actually travel through this country is a bit of a bait-and-switch, so we just don't do it for our covered cities. If your route ends somewhere outside those four, message us before booking and we'll tell you straight whether it's possible and what it'd involve — we're not going to pretend every city is covered when it isn't.

Coordinating Your Drop-off

The bigger thing people don't think about until it's too late is timing the paperwork. With a one-way rental, we handle the drop-off coordination the same way we handle pickup — over WhatsApp, arranged before you arrive at your final city, so someone's expecting the car and you're not stuck trying to find a return location on your last day of vacation with a flight to catch. You tell us roughly when and where you'll be dropping off, and we take it from there.

Best For Linear Trips, Not Loops

This setup works especially well if your trip is genuinely linear rather than a loop — say, port to Tangier for a couple of days, then down through Chefchaouen and Fes, ending in Marrakech before flying out. Trying to force that into a round trip means either cutting your itinerary short or adding an entire extra day of driving just to get the car back to where you started. One-way just removes that problem entirely.

When a Round Trip Is Actually Better

One honest caveat: if your trip actually is a loop — you're coming back through Tanger Med Port anyway — a standard round-trip rental will probably work out cheaper and simpler for you. One-way is genuinely better for point-to-point trips, not a default upgrade you should pick just because it sounds more flexible. We'd rather steer you toward whichever one actually fits your route.

Cancellations and Support

Same policies apply as our regular rentals: no upfront payment to book, free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup, and support in French, English, and Arabic if your plans shift along the way.
